Thunder Chunky

inspiration: Andy Smith Blue Inks Competition

andy-smith-blue-inks-1

Andy Smith is back with some of his indelible typography, this time in the form of a silkscreened book called ‘Blue Inks’. As you may have guessed, the book is printed entirely in shades of blue, and tells the story of the day-to-day life of a colour, including the daily struggle with long-standing enemies such as the yellows and the magentas! The books are hand-printed by Andy himself and we’re lucky enough to have to book+poster sets to give away!! Here’s what you have to do…

“Tell us what you would do with a load of #blueinks”

In order to enter this competition send any tweet to @thunderchunkyuk but remember to use the following hashtag – #blueinks

So for example you could put:

“@thunderchunkyuk – I would draw the world’s biggest smurf with my #blueinks.”

We’ll pick our two favourites and they will receive the Andy Smith goodies! Entries close Monday 23rd November at 11:00 GMT so get tweeting!

If you don’t manage to win a free copy then you can graqb yourself a copy for just ¬£6 from Andy’s shop. Below are a bunch of spreads from the book…

UPDATE: Congrats to @liambrazier and @DirtyEnid who won the goodies! Here’s their entries:

@liambrazier I’d go all Tobias Fünke with some #blueinks – it’s the only look that goes with denim shorts on a near 30 male right?

@DirtyEnid I’d write ‘red’ in big letters on a sign, and see if it confused anyone #blueinks
