With record companies constantly looking for new and inventive ways to encourage us to buy music, we’re likely to see a boom in interesting promo material from bands. The Audio Bullys are no exception. To tie in with the release of their new single, Dope Fiend, the band have put out a limited edition comic, illustrated by Brighton-based artist Mark Hooley. What’s interesting is you have to purchase the comic before you’re able to download the track. With the diminishing role of the album sleeve maybe this is the sort of cross-media approach to music we can look forward to in the future!
