After recently coming across Mr. Joseph Christian Leyendecker I struggle to understand why it took so long as his work is a simple marvel and it’s easy to see his influences in many an artist since.

Mr. Leyendecker’s work is jaw dropping, an amazingly talented illustrator seen as one of best of his time. Before his deaths in 1951 he produced stunning work for poster, book and advertising illustrations and the trade character known as The Arrow Collar Man, plus the many covers he illustrated for The Saturday Evening Post.

A hugely talented and influential man indeed.
