With the Thriller and Bad albums still playing in the studio, it seemed only right that we mention Michael Jackson on TC. As complicated a personality as he was, there’s no denying the impact his music had on pretty much the whole world, especially if, like us, you grew up in the 80s! Sam Gilbey produced the illustration above and summed it up perfectly…

“Together with Quincy Jones and others, he really did create some of the greatest popular music the world has ever heard. And because you can’t separate out his eccentricities from his music, I also wanted to sum up the enigmatic presence which made him so fascinating. Rest in peace Michael, and thank you.”
