The day is nearly upon us. The day we go to ‘Play’. Come join in the fun and be inspired by the imaginations of 40+ artists, their interpretations of the theme ‘Play’ for this fantastic Inkygoodness Exhibition.

I was down there yesterday (delivering my artwork – yes, I’m also participating) and the East gallery is literally overflowing with new and eye popping wonders. There’s so much work that the organisers are having trouble fitting everything in, trying to cleverly use up every part of available wall space.

The super talented McBess was also down at the gallery covering the entrance wall with a Gigantic masterpiece. It was quite breathtaking to see him work, and actually shake hands with such a great man.

So what else is there to say. Come and see it with your own eyes. It’s going to be one of the biggest exhibitions of this year.

We all used to love colouring in when we were kids. Most of us still do, but we just don’t do it as much as we used to. So, here’s your excuse to break open a box of crayolas’ and turning everything rainbow coloured. Patterns for Colouring is the splendid idea of one Carlton Hibbert. Established for around 1 year, with a collection of 178 patterns and continuously growing.

Pattern designed for the lovely and new Enigmatic jewellery shop based in Cavern Walks, Liverpool. The pattern has been used as a wallpaper through out the shop to decorate the walls and the display ornaments of the jewellery.

Friend-of-TC and top-notch digital artist David Cousens is back with another of his amazing video-game inspired digital painting tutorials. This time though it’s based around what has to be one of the classic games of all time… Monkey Island 2!!

Lovingly inspired by the original box-art done by the legendary artist Steve Purcell, his tutorial guides you through the creation of this awesome image of LeChuck playing with his favourite Guybrush Threepwood voodoo doll. There’s also loads of random trivia peppered throughout to keep you entertained!

So go check the tutorial over on PSDFAN… and in the meantime… look behind you, a three-headed monkey!

Plakker Album is a great little project bring together 33 illustrators from 10 different countries to create a nostalgic footy sticker album. And the clever part… you have to collect the stickers on a design-blog treasure hunt! We’re proud to be the gift-bearing sticker-masters, with 3 brilliant stickers, available ONLY here on TC…

The Luisão sticker was illustrated by brazilian Leo Teixeira, the Novakovic sticker by brazilian Marcus Pereira and the Santa Cruz sticker by paraguayan Oz Montania. Great work guys!
