inspiration: Gola by Tado launch event

tado-gola-punkypickle

As posted recently here on TC, designer-duo TADO have recently revealed their new range of products for classic sportswear brand Gola. And to mark the occassion, they had a launch event in Carnaby Street, London. We weren’t able to make in down south unfortunately, but luckily friend-of-TC Punkypickle did make it there and took some great snaps! We hear there were free Tado enamel badges, popcorn, candyfloss AND postcards. Great work guys!!

inspiration: Give me some Gola by TADO!

tado-gola-1

Bham! Tado are back with loads of fresh new work, and we’re in awe of what they’ve done for Gola! Having grown up in the UK in the 80s and 90s, Gola will always bring back fond memories, and the fact that Tado seem to have been given creative freedom to run riot is brilliant! Although this collection might be a bit bold for a lot of you folks, we have it on good authority from the guys themselves that the second Gola by Tado range is going to be aimed at an older age range, and be uber-wearable… sounds ace!

Check out the full range over on the Gola site and see loads of Tado’s latest work over on their agent’s site, Debut Publishing!

Check out some bonus pics!

inspiration: Kidrobot Lands in London!

kr-pickle01

When Kidrobot says it’s going to open a store in your country’s capital it’s momentus and everyone turns out. This is especially true when character loving superheros TADO turn out to sign, doodle and graffiti over your precious vinyl items. Hoardes of people turned out last Thursday for the official launch night with queues as long as 2hrs just to get in the store! Our friend punkypickle swung by to checkout out all the madness and take some cool photos.

Situated on Earlham Street, Covent Garden, London, the new Kidrobot store hopes to bring vinyl designer goodness to all it’s UK fans and I for one will be make a trip down to London soon to grab me some Kidrobot action!

inspiration: TC Xmas Selection Box (No. 5)

Our last, final, end of the line box has been added to the Xmas Selection Box page and it’s one which I think everyone will want to get their hands on!

Raw Design have very kindly donated one of their festive Christmas By Colour poster & wrapping paper combos. The almighty TADO have sent in one of their uber-cool Cannibal Funfair vinyls (doodled on to boot!) as well as a mushroom vinyl and loads of stickers! We’ve thrown in a Burgerman Snot Zombie tee and Print Project card set, and some badges. Al Heighton chipped in with a few postcards and a xmas card. There’s a hand-printed Peskimo card and stickers. There’s another of Kenn Munk’s paper toy templates. Ben The Illustrator was super-generous and has sent a second full set of World Lovin prints, signed and numbered! And a hand-drawn Speakerdog! And finally, Insolent Candy Floss donated another postcard and sticker set.

So, it’s your last chance now to sign up over at….

inspiration: Lily The Littlest Cannibal

Lily The Littlest Cannibal from Tado

Hot on the heels from their MLP project, Tado are back in style with a new character, Lily The Littlest Cannibal! The illustrating duo created the character for a special exhibition at Magic Pony in Canada and as part of an exclusive range of new vinyl toys called Cannibal Funfair.

“Ready to tear you limb from limb at Lily’s command, these covetable cannibals beg the question, Can’t we all be monsters?”

There’s a load of photos of the exhibition, the opening event and also the Funfair toys on the Lily microsite. If only we lived in Canada!
