inspiration: TC Xmas Selection Box (No. 3)

A day late with the post here so apologies for that, but here we are with info on the 3rd xmas box we’ve put together!

First in there this time is illustrator Jonathan Edwards, who sent us a bunch of cool cards as well as a Gocco print made with his own fair hands. Then we have TC xmas stalwart, the ever-brilliant Sam Gilbey, who chipped in with a lovely set of art postcards (with his previously-featured Flight of The Conchords work in!). Lunartik joined in the fun with loads of plug stickers, patches and magnets. As a real treat for you all, Luke Feldman, aka Skaffs, posted over a hand-painted piece of magnet art magic! From good ol’ Barcelona, character designer Charuca very kindly donated an awesome signed vinyl toy and t-shirt. UK illustrator Phil Corbett added in his funky Kitten Parasites book and some cards. TC regular and Edinburgh’s finest illustrator, Mr Boy Fitz Hammond chipped in with his Sound of Colour tee. Meni Tzima, aka Yupyland, sent us some signed printed and hand-drawn stickers all the way from Greece. And last but by no means least, EAMO sent us some some designer stubby-holders (bet you don’t have one of them!), all the way from Oz (pretty much the other side of the world)!

These boxes just keep getting bigger!! To get your mitts on it just go to…

inspiration: PAPER AND INK

Jon Burgerman and World Lovin prints

This week we’ve been inspired by a number of screenprints, ready to brighten the walls of anyone’s studio, sunhouse or shed.

Jon Burgerman took part in a show called Blisters On My Fingers (Beatles reference?), for which he produced this 2-colour print. You can still grab one of the 20 or so copies left from Print Club.

Ben The Illustrator also dropped us a line to let us know about his World Lovin’ Posters. All you eco-friendly designers out there will love these as they’re printed on FSC certified paper and only use vegetable inks. Each print is limited to a run of 100 as well.

And if you’re still looking for more screen-print inspiration then check out Boxbird, who launched last month. They have a great variety of silkscreen and Giclée prints and asked Stephen to put something together for them, which you can see here.

Other news this week:

Inspiration pics

Blind Drawings, Crayonlegs and TBFH

Kev Speck dropped us a line telling us about a project he’s working on to keep his creative juices flowing - Blind Drawings… The Boy Fitz Hammond has a new tee up on Threadless called Small Mammal Flying Machine… and we were introduced to a new illustration treat, Crayonlegs (check out their Literal Facial Hair illustrations… Goatee anyone?).
