Thunder Chunky

inspiration: Ilustra Orange

ATS-Tee01

A nice little gem dropped in to my inbox recently (unfortunately it was during my holiday, therefore it is a bit late, I’m so sorry man), it’s Artransmitte’s launch of their very first T-shirt, Ilustra Orange. Designed by Ilustralando, the first to kick off the artist collection of T-shirts, involving a whole host of worldwide, up and coming creatives. There has been a load of effort put in to the whole package, which includes a beautiful box, and a set of badges.

Please purchase: Ilustra Orange and support this nice art and design store.

“…Ilustralando used his own Ilustra character while paying respect to Stanley Kubrick’s Clockwork Orange. So whether you want to make your own critique on society, are an extreme film fan, or you just need a different Halloween costume.. then this is the shirt for you….”

inspiration: Meka | Zombies Blood Sweat T-shirts and Pillows

meka-lafraiseT

Fellow Blood Sweat Vector artist, Meka, the undead maestro, the head of the infamous Zombie Corp has been working very hard lately, so hard that his hands have fallen off. Firstly, there’s his special T-Shirt feature and interview at La Fraise. Then his super sweet pillows from Kolorys, perfect for resting those undead heads.

“…Well. Name’s Meka, grand guru of the ZOMBIEcorp. Illustrator, and graphic designer as a day job. Quebec transplant for a year now, after 27 spent in France. Main hobbies: partying in all the bars of Montreal, or anything that allows me to extend my zombie universe. Characteristic: a really bad tendency to hyperactivity. My strongest fetishes are sneakers and designer toyz….”

inspiration: TC Hijacked | by Stephen Chan | pt2 “T-SHIRT”

TC-promo01

Part Two: Continuing from today’s TC Hijack Part One is the launch of my super strange RIPT apparel T-shirt named “Viking Shark Robot Moustache”. About this Shirt::

“The idea behind this crazy shirt, is the same idea as the conception of the RIPT site. The idea that, something you put up fresh and new one day will be covered, lost, gone and made old by newer creations the next day. The graphics on the shirt is made up of flyers and stickers covering each other up, but in the end its created something more interesting, like how old artists will influence new artists in the future…”

The T-shirt is only available for 24 hours, so please support and Buy Here!!!! (available in a few hours time). I do greatly appreciate the support and hope you like the design, and please do send us photos of yourselves wearing it (that would be the perfect birthday gift for me).

interview with Jared Nickerson (aka J3Concepts)

j3-main

Jared Nickerson is a busy man to track down. When he’s not creating bright bold character driven vector work for clients such as Activision, Nintendo, Microsoft, Ryzwear and Vice he’s creating tees for laFraise – where he is also the Community Director. His work has been applied onto tees, prints, sneakers, iphone apps and even skis! After all this, he is also one of the founders of renowned vector community site BloodSweatVector. We caught up with him after he returned from his much deserved break in Tahiti, to ask a few questions…

interview with DEREK DEAL

derek-deal-main

For many illustrators and designers, the childhood memories of drawing and doodling lie in the core of their creativity. Harking back to yesteryear and drawing inspiration from the environmental influences that we all soaked up as youngsters. This is certainly the case with our latest featured artist. He’s one 5th of the design team The Black Axe, and inspired by the exploding OTT youth culture of the 80’s. His name is Derek Deal.
