Tim Biskup is a guy in demand. His work can be seen in galleries, on t-shirts, as toys, online, in books… the list is endless. He specialises in character-driven, surreal snapshots of fantasy landscapes which are reminiscent of artists such as Joan Miro and take inspiration from illustrators such as the classic Disney artist Mary Blair, who was responsible for much of the look and feel of Alice in Wonderland. He’s got a solo show coming up as well as numerous other projects, so he’s an extremely busy guy. Nevertheless, he still managed to free up a bit of time for a few words with Thunder Chunky…

You’re probably all familiar with the work of Nathan Jurevicius, even if you don’t realise it. His quirky and surreal illustrations have graced many a publication, and his creation, Scarygirl, has taken the world by storm. Scarygirl exists in many forms, most notably as a comic strip and as a vinyl toy, produced by the notorious Hong Kong toy manufacturer Flying Cat. So what’s going on in the mind of Nathan Jurevicius?

Tado consist of the mad-capped duo of Mike and Katie, straight out of sunny Sheffield. They first strated doodling in 2002 and have been wow-ing you and me ever since. Some call them cute, some call them scary, we call them TADO!
