London-based illustrator Rod Hunt has been creating all sorts of retro-tinged landscapes and characters for a number of years now. He’s a prominent member of the AOI and is frequently featured in high profile publications. We stole a bit of his time to ask him a bunch of questions.
California-based illustrator and designer Chris Lee has been busy of late, doing all manner of projects right across the design spectrum. But he was able to spare us some time to answer some questions and shed some light on the mind inside The Beast.
You don’t hear of many illustrators coming out of Cambridge, but Zebitz is a true exception to the rule. He’s worked for a host of top clients and his style has a manic edge which sets him aside from the crowd.

Pascal Campion is a San Francisco based illustrator and animator who can knock out breath-taking work as fast as a speeding bullet. He very kindly contributed to last year’s Xmas Project that we ran so we decided it was high time we caught up with him for a chat.
A few months back, MTV held an event in Milan where some of the world’s top artists were asked to customise hand-made resin MTV characters. Jeremyville, Rinzen, Furi Furi, Tado, tokidoki, Mauro Gatti, Yo Clas, Andy and BUGO all contributed. We managed to catch up with some of them for some extra info.
There’s a good chance that you will have seen a neat series of animations called Love Sport, which take a comical jab at some of the world’s best-loved sports. Well the man behind them is director Grant Orchard, who currently spends most of his time working at the ever-impressive Studio AKA.
Hi Ben, after hovering around Thunder Chunky for quite a while now, you’ve finally got a feature all to yourself (and Speakerdog)! What have you been up to today then?
Today’s been pretty sweet, I finished off a set of prints, Speakerdog mini-prints, so now they’re up for sale in the shop. They’re called the ‘End Of The Rainbow’ mini-series, 4 prints, each with a different place at the end of the rainbow. I’m pretty pleased with them. After that I did some updates on the Speakerdog site, then I took Eddie the dog (an actual dog) for a walk, it was raining and there were swarms of little flies all over the place, not the mellowest walk I ever had. Had home-made vege-burgers for tea.
