More often than not it’s our dog Doze that wakes me up, he likes to be up and out early!
Tea for me and a juice for my son Woody.
Look outside, looks like a good one.
Doze usually just goes back to snoozing somewhere.
Music in the kitchen, usually some kind of indie rock or hiphop, today it’s Yellowcard.
Fill the house with music.
I read this great article while I ate my breakfast.
Choose sneakers for the day, always Adidas for me.
Drop Woody off at nursery for the day.
Head up to the studio, which is the top floor of our house.
Wall of words as you enter the studio.
The studio! That’s my half, the other half is used by Fi, my wife, but she’s not working in the studio today.
Probably the most important piece of paper in the studio.
Fi’s half of the room, where she hand-makes our fabric products.
A bit of daydreaming looking up at the skylights.
Working on an illustration for Wired magazine this morning.
My desk.
Lunchtime!
Quiche and a salad.
Post-lunch cup of tea.
Got a tweet from these guys, enjoyed a browse of their site.
Looking at packaging for our new range of fabric bags.
Measuring the bags for new boxes.
We rearranged the studio just recently, still need to find a place for the toys.
Bit of emailing.
Bit of Twitter.
Back out to pick up Woody, take the dog for a ride.
Drive across Somerset to run some errands.
End of the day, nice relax with Fi.
And that’s a day in Ben’s eyes! Keep an eye on his site for fresh work, and keep an eye out for new products, like his brand new hand-made bags, over on his online store.
