Child-like wonder from Mr. Gareth Conway
I do love children’s illustration – it’s so playful and happy. Innocent and imaginative. It’s a really fun area of illustration yet I also think it’s quite a challenging one. You have to engage with people who could be 20 + years younger than you, heading back to those days is not an easy thing to do I think. One man who has no trouble creating wonderfully creative and texture rich conjured up worlds is Mr. Gareth Conway.
Mr. Conway beautifully combines simple styled characters that are rich with feeling and emotion – married with a bold and bright supporting style that places the characters in various scenarios and events that overall create a very pleasing picture indeed. It’s a wonderful style Mr. Conway has produced and can work across numerous areas not just children & education and I for one am very much looking forward to where his creations take us next.
