Ms. Kirsten Shiel’s delightfully detailed illustrations
Ms. Kirsten Shiel has a wonderful skill of producing beautiful pieces of illustration with a great use of texture and tone that give each of her pictures a rich wonderful tactility – as if you held them you’d feel all the bumps and surfaces that are depicting in her work.
Ms. Shiel creates quite atmospheric pieces with her use of lighting – she can create a beautiful shady place on a sunny day to a moody bus stop piece at night. It’s a wonderful talent and Ms. Shiel wields it with wonderful effect and finish.
